Position: MCAD EIT Analyst
Functionally Reports to: MCAD/MCAE Manager
Functional alignment: Global Engineering & Product Group Managers
Role Description
The position will be responsible for providing support for all MCAD applications in use within Visteon ( Catia, ProE, UGNX, AutoCAD). Responsibilities include predicting and preventing any issues that may affect application availability or functionality, ensuring any issues/tickets that do arise are quickly resolved (within SLA timing), performing root-cause analysis on issues to enable future prevention, assisting in the development of work processes to ensure the proper and successful use of the applications, establishing a good working relationships with the business customers, interfacing with business customers for basic new requirements, performing basic application upgrades, interfacing with EIT project teams to ensure a smooth and successful transition to support after the deployment of new applications or new major versions, and adhering to all stated company policies and processes. This position requires strong understanding of CAD modeling methods and best practices in the automotive industry.

Position Requirements (Skills & Experience)
· Knowledge of Engineering operations and business processes in the CAD design area
· General understanding of Engineering software tools and technologies and their interaction with different computing patforms (Windows, Unix, Linux)
· Experience in supporting Catia 5 – knowledge of ProE and UG preferred
· Knowledge of Catia Automotive environments
· Expertise in Catia 5 modeling techniques and industry best practices
· Good interpersonal skills
· Good administration, documentation, problem analysis, and customer relationship knowledge/skills.
· Experienced in use of standard, best-practice based methodologies and enabling tools
· Experienced in working in team environments while developing effective working relationships with peers and management.
· 4+ years of experience and demonstrable expertise with the portfolio of MCAD tools used within Visteon.
· 2+ years experience as a support lead
· 2+ years administration experience in both the Unix and Windows environments
· Education – BA or BS in relevant field and an advanced degree is desired
· Team Player, Good Communication Skills, Critical Thinking, Problem Resolution Skills
Tasks
• Single Point of contact for Catia V5, Pro/E and UGNX
• Advanced design; understand and resolve modeling/drawing issues
• Format creations/updates
• Document methodologies and best practices. Generate “Tip & Techniques”
• Document design processes
• Training/coordination.
• On the Job Trainer (OJT)
• CAD Testing/validation of new computing platforms
• Update, maintain title blocks, notes library & symbols
• Investigate advanced module usage
• Testing application updates & coordinate packaging/deployment
• Test & benchmark Windows based workstations for engineering tools.
